Once completed, the statement of purpose should be sent to the university.

Obtaining and Translating Transcripts

However, if official transcripts are required, the applicant must first pay the necessary fee to release their degree from their university. After that, they can obtain their official transcripts, which must be verified by the Ministry of Science before being translated and sent to the desired university.

The reason for paying a fee to obtain official transcripts is the applicant’s prior commitment to studying in their home country. Additionally, the applicant can request their university to send the transcripts directly to the destination university while uploading unofficial transcripts during the admission process.

SAORG Code

The SAORG code is part of the admission process in Iran for international students and is used to confirm that the student has no restrictions on studying. It is issued and approved by the Immigration Police and the Ministry of Science for the selected university.

Note: A separate SAORG code is issued for each academic level (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD).

Persian Language Certificate (SAMFA)

The Standard Persian Language Proficiency Test, known as SAMFA, is an exam designed to assess language skills in Persian. Its international equivalents in English include tests like TOEFL and IELTS. The exam is conducted by the National Organization for Educational Testing to facilitate the admission process for international students in Iranian universities.

SAMFA is one of the requirements for studying at Iranian universities for foreign nationals. According to approved regulations, all non-Iranian students applying to universities in Iran must take this test. The exam consists of two sections: General and Academic (University-Oriented and Academy-Oriented). It is also used for purposes such as studying in educational institutions, residency, employment, business activities, and establishing international offices in Iran.

The test is held at least three times a year in January, June, and September.

What is a student visa?

A student visa is essentially the only required document for obtaining permission to stay in the destination country for students admitted to a recognized university in that country. After receiving admission from their chosen university, the applicant must apply for a visa, which requires proving their ability to cover tuition and living expenses in the destination country.
